Confirming Ideas and generating material for performance - CKR Lesson 3 (PMD2)

The mind map above shows all of the ideas that our group came up with for our performance. You can see from the mind map (from the circled ideas) that we have decided as a group to focus on the idea of hidden identity and the masquerade ball. We have decided to focus on this for our final performance because we feel that we can use material that we have already created and develop it further to create scenes for our performance.

This mind map here looks what the target audience is going to be for this performance. We decided that it was going to be for aged 17+. We decided that we wasn't going to aim it for a younger age range, as we feel if we were to have young teens watching the performance, they would understand it but not fully and this could lead to them getting confused and not really understanding the performance. However by targeting it for 17+ the audience members are old enough to understand the performance and for it to be effective.

Our final mind map looks into the different mediums that we have used when creating previous material and we have used this to decided what we want to use that has already been created and what we can develop into structuring and creating the performance.

The still image here is of a pyramid. We decided to use this still image as it represents the castle itself - where the masquerade ball is being held. So by using a pyramid we are emphasising the size of the place, without actually having to use a large amount of space.

This still image is showing the masquerade ball itself. At this point everyone is happy and dancing together. You can see from the image that it is over exaggerated to emphasise to the audience what is going on.

This still image here represents being at a mask ball and making a toast but it's being done in a     way. This emphasises the disease being spread and it also represents the hidden identity slowing dying away.  

This still image looks at how we are paired up with each other and its like were dancing with each other. You can see from the placement of our hands that its like there is a force that is pulling us together but we are trying with the rest of our body to stay as far away from the other person as we can.

This final still image shows the final stage of the ball for example and it shows that everyone is slowing dying. Its showing that we are trying to hold this façade but we can't keep it up any longer. So by being on the floor it represents the façade dying away but the fact that we have kept our arms upright shows that we are still trying to keep the façade on show.
